  • Life Transitions

Life transitions, expected or not, can be hard to navigate. Some areas we work with include, but are not limited to:

    • Career changes, job loss, and professional reinvention

    • Grief and loss, including the death of a loved one, loss of a beloved pet, end of a relationship, or loss of a defining role

    • Relocation, retirement, divorce, and empty nest

    • Shifts in health, family structure, or identity

  • Healthcare Professionals & Support Staff

    • You spend your days caring for others — often in high-stakes, emotionally demanding environments. Burnout, moral distress, and compassion fatigue are real, and they deserve real support. With more than eight years in a Level I trauma center, I understand the culture of healthcare from the inside. I welcome nurses, physicians, social workers, techs, and all healthcare support staff.

  • A Space for Everyone

    • While my primary focus areas are trauma, women's health, chronic illness, and healthcare professionals, I also welcome LGBTQIA+ individuals and neurodivergent adults. As a straight ally, I'm committed to providing a safe, affirming space — and I'm comfortable working with the full spectrum of how brains are wired.

  • We strive to provide accessible, culturally sensitive, and individualized care. If your needs don’t fit within these areas, you are still welcome here, and we will gladly help connect you with the appropriate resources and support.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps you process and ease the distress of difficult or upsetting memories. During sessions, you’ll focus on a memory while using gentle techniques like eye movements, taps, or sounds, helping the memory feel less intense and more manageable. EMDR can support you in reducing emotional upset, shifting unhelpful beliefs about yourself, and improving daily functioning. We start by building a sense of safety and using grounding tools, and the pace is always guided by what feels right for you. If you’re curious about whether EMDR could be helpful, I’m happy to talk through how it works and whether it might fit your goals.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) helps you live a meaningful life even when difficult thoughts, feelings, or sensations are present. Instead of trying to get rid of them, ACT teaches you to notice thoughts without letting them control you, stay present, clarify what truly matters to you, and take small, values-guided steps forward. Sessions often include brief mindfulness exercises, values exploration, and actionable steps aligned with your goals. ACT can be helpful for depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, chronic pain, or any situation where avoidance is limiting your life. If you’re curious about how ACT might support you in moving through challenges and living a fuller life, I’d be happy to explore it with you.

Motivational Interviewing (MI)

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a collaborative, person-centered approach that helps you explore your values, goals, and reasons for change. In a supportive, nonjudgmental conversation, you’ll reflect on your strengths, consider both the benefits and challenges of change, and take steps toward what matters most to you. MI can be especially helpful for health behavior changes, stress management, medication adherence, or any goal where motivation feels uncertain. By building change from your own priorities, MI increases the likelihood it will stick while keeping you in the driver’s seat. If you’re curious about how MI might help you make meaningful changes, I’d be glad to talk with you about it.
